"THIS ISN'T DENZIGER..."

...So says Father Lombardi, Papal spokesman, in discussing the Pope's latest interview.

“This isn’t Denzinger,” he said, referring to the famous German collection of official church teaching, “and it’s not canon law.”

That's putting it mildly.

I'll go one further. Not only is this not Denzinger, this isn't Christianity.

One of the essential characteristics of Christianity is simplicity. There have been illiterate saints in Church history. What would one of those simple, blessed, pius but illiterate saints make of the things Francis is saying?

It's pretty obvious what people like NARAL members think, and the Vatican has done nothing to correct their very public "thank you note" to Francis

Indeed, Anon. I've been waiting for the Vatican to throw NARAL's impudent statement right back in their faces. Perhaps I shouldn't hold my breath?

No. But it is a shameful public scandal that needs a swift and highly public CORRECTION. Where is Benedict????????????????

Poor Benedict. I can't help but think that's he's feeling sorrow and concern right about now.

I would prefer that he feel anger and shame. Enough so to open publicly his mouth before it is too late.

What gets me is that BXVI surely knew that Bergolgio was nearly elected the last time round. Why oh why would he abdicate and open the door for this Hellishness? I would think he would want to hang on and pray to live long enough that these enemies of the Church would precede him in death.

How many times does the cock have to crow before we get our resurrection? Oh wait. There is that little matter of our crucifixion first. And Francis is hurrying us along the way of the cross. Maybe the "abomination of desolation" which "stands" is a man.

Daniel 11:31-34, Saint Matthew chapter 24, Saint Mark chapter 13, Saint Luke chapter 21

No matter. It serves only to make all the more glorious the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart when it finally comes.
