US to Hungary: Do as we say....or else.

From Daniel McAdams:

If anyone wants a short course on what's wrong with US diplomacy look no further than US Ambassador to Hungary Coleen Bell's speech Friday to the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Hungarian Parliament. In typical diplo-speak there was plenty of flowery language about shared values, fish swimming together in the same water (?), sappy poetics like "together, out of that winter, we would force the spring," and talk of together being "part of the world’s greatest military and political alliance."

But make no mistake: Inside Ambassador Bell's velvet glove is an iron fist, poised to strike should Washington's annoyingly independent-minded Fidesz-led government step out of line on the big issues. And by "big" issues it should be understood that the US means the issues it considers in the interests of its own foreign policy, not those in Hungary's interest.

Message to Hungary: do as we say or you will be sorry.

Yeah. Note how he approvingly quoted the Muslim congressman Keith Ellison.

Mr Spaulding:

Thanks for the comment.

I am confused though by your mention of Ellison. I re-read McAdams' article and did n;t find any reference to him, Did I miss it?

Thank you. That explains it. Since I avoid listening to or reading nauseating US propaganda like the plague I avoided Mizzzz Bell's claptrap. The excerpts McAdans provided was enough to get the gist of what this harridan was promoting.

Regardless, whatever musings come from the mouths of clowns like Bell the main thrust of Daniel McAdams' article was to show how the US is threatening other nations to join them in their senseless, criminal wars in the Middle East, encourage them to look upon Russia as an enemy and then castigate them for not taking in the refugees their unjust wars have produced.

That's nothing.
You should see what the American ambassador to Romania says to Romanians. He directly dictates to them even in his newspaper discourses.
The American Embassy rules Romania. Well, together with that of Israel.

Thanks, FLOR s, for that information.
