Roberto de Mattei on the upcoming Exhortation

Forgiving the usual wretched computer translation, the gist of de Mattei's article is here for all to see:  [Nlote:  you may have to right click on the article to get the English version.]

A quote from the article:

What are these "innovative practices"? The key word in the document is " integration ." Those who are in an irregular situation will be "integrated" in the community may become catechists, liturgical animators, godfathers christening or confirmation, wedding witnesses, and so on. All activities that the traditional practice of the Church to this day forbids them because of public sinners situation.

If de Mattei is correct, and the Pope allows the Bishops to decide on a case-by-case basis what sinful relationships can be excused by the Church then we have the proverbial "Camel's nose in the tent" scenario. First it will be rare, then more common and then finally accepted.

The inch-by-inch whittling away of the doctrinal edifice of the Church continues apace.

Go to Joseph, protector of Holy Church, in the month dedicated to him.

"If Mattei is correct.."
Wise words.
I think that I will wait until the real thing comes out. Plenty of time to pore over it then.

Thanks, Anon.

Speculation on what is probably coming is not too difficult, given all the hints we have been given as well as the track record of the personages involved. It will be a miracle, a genuine miracle, if the document is not what everyone thinks it is going to be. It would be an answer to many prayers if the document does not open up the Pandora's Box of chaos that is expected.

A blessed Easter to you and yours.

The hermenuetic method depends upon how you interpret the baptism of desire and being saved in invincible ignorance

Without this new theology, based on an irrational observation it cannot be said the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus has been changed or discarded. They have to use the irrationality: Synod Exhortation

Catholic Mission:

Many thanks. You have probably already seen this article:

Happy Easter to you and yours.

Would you agree with the following ( it would make my Easter?

You have to understand one basic thing: there is no salvation outside the Church. There is no KNOWN salvation outside the Church. No one in the present or past could have seen, known or met someone saved outside the Church. Since IT WAS NOT POSSIBLE FOR ANY ONE to have seen someone in Heaven without the baptism of water.Neither could any human being know someone on earth who would be saved without the baptism of water.
The new theology is based upon there being salvation outside the Church. This is irrational.
Once you have identified this irrationality and avoid it, you can look at VC2 with a different perspective. It kind of changes before your eyes.
Try it.
Look at LG 16. It refers to someone saved in invincible ignorance and with a good concience.
Is this a reference to known salvation for you in March 2016? Do you know any one saved as such?
So does LG 16 refer to a visible or invisible cases for you?
For most Catholics it refers to a visible case but not for me.
Let me know what you think.

Dear Lionel:

I have long been aware of and in complete agreement with the defined dogma, Extra ecclesiam nulla salus.
