THE POT CALLS THE KETTLE BLACK

SICK HUMOR DEPT.

In what must surely be one of the most hilarious pronouncements ever to emerge from the swamps of Washington D.C., John Kerry has (with a straight face) accused RT Today of being a "propaganda bullhorn" for Russia.

http://original.antiwar.com/mcgovern/2014/04/30/kerrys-propaganda-war-on-russias-rt/

I am glad that I had finished swallowing a mouthful of hot coffee before reading that.

This is the same John Kerry who railed against Russia for "fomenting chaos in Ukraine" (Come again?)

We awaited from Mr Kerry a condemnation of NBC, CBS, FOX, MSN, all the major newspapers, Hollywood, and all the six or seven major corporations who own and control the world's media for being propaganda agents for Washington but Mr Kerry seemed to neglect mentioning it.  As for who was really fomenting chaos in Ukraine I will be charitable and assume that Mr Kerry thinks the entirety of humanity are idiots.

Yes, RT Today is subsidized by the Russian government.  I can see that.  I keep that in mind while reading it. But tell me: what other news outlet presents views on major issues and gives a true picture of both (or multiple) sides?  Anyone other than RT?  To ask the question is to answer it.

It has been reported that Mr Putin has stopped accepting phone calls from Obama, Kerry and other assorted stooges for the Empire.  Who could not sympathize with the Russian President?  How much patience would it take to continue accepting phone calls from people hectoring you constantly, threatening you constantly and lying to you constantly?

Demonizing your opponent is the usual tactic of those who have no credible case to offer.  And that old classic of accusing your opponent of doing exactly the same thing you are doing.  Recent US regimes are past masters at that sort of thing.

I really find it almost miraculous that Mr Putin has, so far, kept his cool amidst the outrageous fables being peddled about him, the acts of war, aka sanctions, that are being committed against Russia, the daily provocations by the US and its lapdog allies, the sending in of war ships and fighter jets right into the man's back yard, the incessant, unending stream of falsehoods that are spoken about the situation, combined with the utter ignorance of the entire historical picture - indeed the whole sorry machine that has been put together to try to topple him.

Let us again recall (because these things cannot be stressed enough) the three things that Putin did that outraged the West....and the usual suspects: 1) when he assumed power he brought to justice and to jail the oligarchs who were robbing Russia blind under Yeltsin.  That most of those oligarchs were Jewish ensured that one influential group would be clamoring and working for his destruction. 2) he began to rein in, at least a little, the homosexual onslaught against his nation.  That did not endear him to organized poofdom.  3) he used his skill in stopping the USA's little murder raid on Syria last Summer, and that was a deadly blow to the neocons and other assorted war profiteers.

Now, those three new enemies of his have coalesced into a united front to bring him, and Russia, down.  They are powerful enemies.  Ukraine, which had been in USA/CIA destabilization mode for a decade, provided the excuse to turn Vladimir Putin from the genuine hero he was by his taking the steps mentioned into the latest Hitler-of-the-month.  Notice, if you will, the expertly orchestrated campaign.  Sometimes you just have to sit back and admire the organizational, dogged brilliance employed by the enemies of Christianity.  It is almost always enormously successful.  Even good, solid Catholics who should know better have fallen for it.  (Today the congenitally confused Father Lucie-Smith at the UK Catholic Herald assures us that Putin is getting ready to eradicate Catholicism in the lands he is president of!  The good Father, alas, fails to provide any evidence for this claim.)

The current anti-Russian propaganda is embarrassingly bad and amateurish, though I am pleased to report we haven't yet heard about Mr Putin breaking into maternity hospitals and skewering innocent babies.  That one got great mileage here in the USA when it was employed against the German Kaiser prior to World War I, and though it was getting a little dog-eared by then it was duly trotted out once again when Saddam was the official bad guy.

Perhaps we will soon be seeing slightly re-done versions of this old chestnut:

Thankfully there are people who are still able to keep their heads.  Over at Catholicism.org Mr Gary Potter offers his take on the anti-Putin putsch:

http://catholicism.org/like-hitler.html

I don't know about you but I for one do not relish a nuclear war with Russia or anyone else.  But who are we mere subjects when the likes of Kerry, Obama and the entire Establishment want to goad Russia into war?  Applying their time-honored technique of making their opponent fire the first shot is obviously what they are about just now, so let us hope that Putin doesn't swallow that bait and oblige them.

But John Kerry will keep on trying, and he will do so while there is still a drop of blood in someone else's his body.

Ditto. Ditto. And Ditto. The Obama Admin is looking rather buffoonish. They stand before a large group of politically sophisticated people in certain European venues of officialdom and say transparently absurd things. Some are the birds of a feather liars and some look decidedly uncomfortable. Kerry and Obama accuse Mr. Putin of 20 or 19 century tactics while they lead NATO military exercises on Russia's borders. I suppose Economic Warfare is the Admin's preferred 21st Century weapon when the enemy is substantial, while putting Superer Than You Power on Display. Fr. Lucie-Smith
approves of Jesus Christ Super Star.
And our government with Tel-Aviv and its American agents insist on absolutely destroying Syria and the Syrian people whether they want them to or not.

Great article! There is indeed a remarkable similarity between the Fed Gwynn character and Kerry. Of course Kerry is a willing tool of the establishment, he sold his soul long ago. Recently I cleared out an old friend's garage and found a stack of Time Mags from the 1970's. Flicking through them I came across an article from 1971 boosting a youthful Kerry. He was being groomed for high office even then.
Also thanks for the Catholic.org link to Putin's speech. His naming of the crisis affecting 'Western' society shows an insight similar to Solzhenitsyn.
Western Europe and North America are like a hollow tooth. They look fine but are brittle and fragile. Any stern test of will and resolve will see them crack and perhaps even shatter. Without the sustaining nourishment provided by Christianity our nations are in for a very rough ride.

So I am not the only one who thinks Kerry looks like Frankenstein's monster. What's the name of that guy who wa running for pres,or vice pres a few, years back? Another phony Catholic on his way to Hell if he dies unrepentent. He was the one that lied about being a Swift boat hero or something or other. Anyway, whoever he is and whatever his name is, he too always looked to me like Frankenstein's monster.

I just noticed three entirely un-related points that have no common feature nor any connection in this article:

1) when he assumed power he brought to justice and to jail the oligarchs who were robbing Russia blind under Yeltsin. That most of those oligarchs were Jewish ensured that one influential group would be clamoring and working for his destruction.

2) he began to rein in, at least a little, the homosexual onslaught against his nation. That did not endear him to organized poofdom. (Made me think of this yahoo article quote - "Vice President Joe Biden is praising Jewish leaders for helping change American attitudes about gay marriage and other issues.

Biden says culture and arts change people's attitudes. He cites social media and the old NBC TV series "Will and Grace" as examples of what helped changed attitudes on gay marriage.

Biden says, quote, "Think — behind of all that, I bet you 85 percent of those changes, whether it's in Hollywood or social media, are a consequence of Jewish leaders in the industry."

3) he used his skill in stopping the USA's little murder raid on Syria last Summer, and that was a deadly blow to the neocons and other assorted war profiteers.

Neocons of course are a group that have a majority common ethnic interest, and often hold dual-citizenship with a certain country that is often defined by the same ethnic interest.

Obviously there is no connection. I'm just stringing together random generalizations that no sane person would ever associate.

Dear Sir:
Does anyone need to provide MORE evidence of Putin's plan to eradicate Catholicism - especially Greek/Byzantine Catholicism - after actions in Crimea, statements by both Kirill and Hilarion (far from hilarious), and ... oh let's say the previous century's record of the USSR/nation of Russia's civil "actions" against the Catholic Church. Again, especially against the Eastern Catholics? Perhaps Hilarion's latest statements have escaped you. You may want to read them, quickly.

Anon@1:51am:

Thanks very much for your comment.

I think the first thing we need to recall is that Mr Putin is not Stalin. This is important to note because most of the anti-Russian items I have been reading seem to think the USSR is still a living entity - an idea which is simply not true, so referring to past persecutions under Soviet rule may be of historical interest but doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the current situation. The old Communist system collapsed, or imploded, really, in 1889-1990. The enormous damage that system did to that country is still in evidence but it is remarkable how much rubble Russia has crawled out from under. It seems to me that, a few remaining problems notwithstanding, they are on the road to recovery.

You bring up many individual points but let me first answer the question you pose in your first sentence: yes, I do need more evidence of Putin's "plan" to eradicate Catholicism, and that evidence needs to be hard evidence, not the propaganda being fed to us by Washington via their lapdog mass media. I have seen no evidence to support such a claim but if you have some please share it and I will gladly publish it.

Is there hatred of Catholicism among the Orthodox? Well, yes, sadly and tragically and it pains me deeply to see it. I don't know when God will put an end to this useless, destructive schism which has been ongoing for a thousand years but I take comfort in the words and ideas of Soloviev, who firmly believed that there must come a reunion at some time in the future.

Have the Orthodox made life difficult for the Catholics? Again, yes, sadly. (No, Hilarion's recent comments have not escaped me but I am not one prone to throw gasoline on a roaring fire so I tend to minimize the damage and continue to pray for the conversion of Russia.) Some of their actions have been petty in the extreme and some, historically, have been ugly beyond words. Are all the actions of past Catholics vis-a-vis the Orthodox been sterling and without blame? No, unfortunately. Serious errors of judgment were made from time to time which only made matters worse. And yet there are Catholics dedicated to ending this awful schism. May God bless their efforts with the crown of success.

Finally, when it comes to the issue of eradicating Catholicism from the world I suggest you re-direct your gaze to the West, particularly to America, Britain, France, Italy, etc., etc. These are the governments working at warp speed to demolish the Faith through the combined efforts of Masonry, Zionism and International Finance. That Russia has made those three "gnomes" quite angry in recent years is something worth pondering, no?

Join me, then, in praying for poor Russia. It has a long way to go yet, but since Our Lady has an especial love for that sad land perhaps we should try to bear in mind that if She loves Russia so much that Heaven has some plans for those people.

I forgot to mention your reference to Crimea, but I'm not sure what point you intended to make about it. Was it about the recent election there, or some other matter?
