New York Times: It's perfectly OK to kill children

An unsurprising remark from the Times, so passionately devoted to abortion.

On May 23, Navy SEALs attacked the hamlet of al Adhlan, in the Yemeni province of Mareb. US commandos, attack helicopters, and an AC-130 gunship converged on the village and killed seven people, described by The New York Times as members of al-Qaeda in Yemen.
According to Reprieve, a London-based human rights organization, five civilians were killed in what the Times and the Pentagon describe as an al-Qaeda “compound” located deep within the Yemeni countryside.
Iona Craig, writing for The Intercept, says that village residents gave a list of 10 names of civilians killed and wounded during the raid. “Fifteen-year-old Abdullah Saeed Salem al Adhal was shot dead as he fled from his home with women and children. Another child, 12-year-old Othman Mohammed Saleh al Adhal, was injured but survived.”
The Pentagon described the raid as a success. “Operations such as this provide insight into AQAP's disposition, capabilities and intentions, which allows the U.S. to continue to pursue, disrupt and degrade AQAP,” the Defense Department reported on May 23, citing a Central Command news release.
“AQAP has taken advantage of ungoverned spaces in Yemen to plot, direct, and inspire terror attacks against America, its citizens and allies around the world, the release said.”
The Times echoed the Pentagon narrative. “Even after the rise of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, American counterterrorism officials have said the Qaeda franchise in Yemen poses the most direct threat to the United States, largely because of its proven ability to develop plots to smuggle hard-to-detect bombs aboard passenger airliners bound for the United States. So far, three such plots have been thwarted.”

Another dead monster

Another globalist bites the dust, and thank Heaven.

From the article:

Best remembered by the American public as President Jimmy Carter’s National Security Adviser and co-founder of the Trilateral Commission, Zbigniew Brzezinski has died. Founded in 1973 by David Rockefeller and Brzezinski, the Trilateral Commission embarked on a New International Economic Order based on Technocracy. Brzezinski called this the “Technetronic Era” in his 1970 book, Between Two Ages.
“The technotronic era involves the gradual appearance of a more controlled society. Such a society would be dominated by an elite, unrestrained by traditional values. Soon it will be possible to assert almost continuous surveillance over every citizen and maintain up-to-date complete files containing even the most personal information about the citizen. These files will be subject to instantaneous retrieval by the authorities.”
“In the technotronic society the trend would seem to be towards the aggregation of the individual support of millions of uncoordinated citizens, easily within the reach of magnetic and attractive personalities exploiting the latest communications techniques to manipulate emotions and control reason.”
“Marxism represents a further vital and creative state in the maturing of man’s universal vision. Marxism is simultaneously a victory of the external, active man over the inner, passive man and a victory of reason over belief.”
“National sovereignty is no longer a viable concept.”

The "fruits" of Medjugorje??

"The Holy Father has recently made statements about Medjugorje that have got people talking. Now, these negative statements by the Holy Father have another side to them, as he also made remarks about the possible legitimacy of the earliest messages there. It is also being speculated that the statement the Holy See will eventually release will allow for pilgrimages to Medjugorje as a place of prayer. We have yet to see if such an uncertain trumpet call will be issued, so we cannot comment on it here.

The editorial policy of Catholicism.org runs consistently against the Medjugorje phenomenon, as several postings on our site reveal, the most important of which, because of its doctrinal nature, is “Medjugorje: Another View,” by Robin C. Poe. Miss Poe’s piece exposes the indifferentist nature of messages that been attributed by the seers to the “Gospa” (the Serbo-Croatian word for “Lady,” and the way the visionaries refer to the Blessed Virgin). Brian Kelly has weighed in on the copious “secrets” which have emanated from the phenomenon in his “Scorecard for the Visionaries of Medjugorje.”

There is one point I would like to deal with here, and it addresses a fairly consistent claim I have heard from devotees of this phenomenon in Bosnia-Herzegovina: “But you cannot argue against the fruits of Medjugorje! The conversions, the confessions, the changes in lives and families are too numerous and cannot be gainsaid. You must judge a tree by its fruits, as Our Lord says, and the fruits of Medjugorje are good.”

Amazing that this idiotic plague is still enjoying popularity.  A sad commentary on the intellectual capacity of far too many Catholics who fall for this junk.

Smearing France, Smearing Catholic priests

While I remain unconvinced that the Vichy regime during the war was as bad as it has been pictured Prof Gottfried is right to discuss the truth of the matter.  Leftists will scream but Paul Gottfried sets the matter straight:

Although I’ve long considered the former Bush-speechwriter and AEI and Fox-news fixture Marc Thiessen to be the ultimate GOP-establishmentarian, until this week I assumed he was a person of sound judgment. Most of what I’ve heard Thiessen express as a Washington Post-columnist and Fox-news contributor has seemed reasonable. Besides, unlike our verbally intemperate and ungrammatical chief executive, Thiessen frames his comments with an imperturbable precision. Even in the face of wild accusations from leftist sparring partners, he manages to smile (perhaps superciliously) and responds in measured phrases.
That’s why I found his latest column celebrating the discomfiture of Marine Le Pen, as an anti-Semite with fascist tendencies to be truly unsettling. One might expect such prose from the foaming Ralph Peters, who seems to lapse into rage syndrome every time he mentions a European (as opposed to Israeli) nationalist. But from Thiessen I expected better. Thiessen hammers Marine for asserting that the entire French nation should not be held guilty for a particular misdeed: In 1942 13,000 Paris Jews were rounded up at the VĂ©lodrome d’Hiver and deported to concentration camps. Thiessen cites this as evidence that like her abrasive father, Jean-Marie, Marine is at least an implicit Holocaust-denier. But what Marine said which Thiessen finds outrageous happens to be true. The Resistance leader Charles de Gaulle, the Jewish chronicler of the French Resistance Robert Aron, and more recently, a Moroccan Jewish journalist Eric Zemmour have all made the same point as Marine, namely that it is wrong to accuse the French people generally for the crime committed by the German SS and their Vichy collaborators. Indeed the French saved almost all of the indigenous French Jewish population; the notorious roundup (rafle) that Thiessen mentions only affected foreign Jews, many of whom had fled to France in order to escape Nazi persecution. Zemmour points out that limiting the deportation to this mass of hapless Jews had been the result of a deal struck between the collaborationist Vichy government and the Nazi German occupiers of France. But there is no reason to assume that most of the French supported this deportation.
Indeed the inspiration for the dark view of the French that Thiessen regurgitates comes principally from two sources, the French Communist Party and their leftist successors and the American historian Robert Paxton. In Vichy France, Paxton sets out to incriminate the entire French nation for collaborating with the Nazi occupation. Those who did not actively participate in this regime are accused of “passive” collaboration, a charge that makes about as much sense as the current leftist assertion that all white Americans are complicit in ”systematic  racism.” Zemmour observes that the French translation of Paxton’s work in 1973, plus its sequel Vichy and the Jews in 1981, created in France a replacement for the national history of “the Great Michelet.”  Just as the nineteenth-century French historian Jules Michelet built his chronicle of the French nation around the Revolution, his antifascist successors have worked to instill in French youth a “new doxa.” This replacement dogma stresses national shame, for an evil deed that only a minority of the French were involved in, while their country was being occupied by a foreign invader.

France ready to accept another Rothschild stooge...again

If French opinion polls are to be trusted, the French are preparing to continue their subjugation to International Finance by electing one of its minions, Emmanuel Macron.  Macron, libertine and stooge, will, there is no doubt, do the bidding of the elites and will ensure that the French continue to be debt slaves to swine like Rothschild, Soros and their ilk while allowing themselves to become moral wretches.

Marine Le Pen is on the other hand a mixed bag.  Some of her positions, particularly her anti-elitist ones, are exemplary while others are the usual pseudo-conservative bromides that we heard from people like Trump.  Curiously or perhaps not so curiously after 200 years of anti-Catholic revolution Frenchmen are still willing to continue their personal degradation by even considering an Obama clone like Macron...again, if the polls are correct.  He did win the first round of voting, which does not portend well for France or Europe.  Just as the elites fairly quickly co-opted Donald Trump to do much of their bidding they will not allow a Le Pen to upset their apple cart, a cart which has allowed them to enjoy virtual dictatorial power over a good part of the world.  Hilaire Belloc knew this would come and most if not all of his predictions about the dangers of Capitalism have proven correct: most of the world is now enslaved to International Finance.

What will happen in France tomorrow is important.  But if Macron wins expect more darkness to fall on that great nation, and the world.

Here is an interesting discussion on the French vote:

George Soros VS Catholic Poland

That greedy old bastard and financial manipulator George Soros is back in the regime-change business, not that he ever took a break from such activities.  His latest target is the nation of Poland.

Put simply, this prominent member of The Tribe is continuing the long history of trying to utterly destroy what's left of Christendom (an activity that has been going on non-stop since 33 AD) and making a few shekels in the bargain.  It is a sickening performance but a not unexpected one, since the jackals smell blood in the water now that the Church is teetering on the edge of dissolution.

In God's good time people like Soros will be dead and gone and spending their eternity in the place they so well deserve, and the Church will be restored.  In the meantime it is always good to know what such swine are up to, and one hopes Poland is ready for the onslaught.  [As an aside, Poland would do well to cut all ties to the United States which is a partner with people like Soros.]

From armstrongeconomics.com:

The Polish government wants to stop the distribution of Norwegian money flowing into Poland coming from Soros’ funded Batory Foundation, which manages over 800 million euros with a target of overthrowing the Polish government by 2020. Since 2014, the Batory Foundation has distributed some 130 million zlotys (around 31.7 million euros) to various associations and organizations within Poland to change the government. According to Bloomberg, this includes organizations for the promotion of “parliamentary democracy”,  but only if it agrees with Soros’ agenda. Effectively, Soros is trying to defeat Catholic values in Poland which are supported by the population and government.

Hopefully Good News (for a change): St Nicholas relics come to Russia

From Interfax:

St. Nicholas relics to be brought to Russia from Italy for first time in 930 years on May 21-28

Moscow, April 28, Interfax - The relics of Saint Nicholas located in a tomb in the crypt of the Basilica di San Nicola (St. Nicholas Basilica) in Bari, Italy will be brought to Russia from May 21 to May 28, 2017, Metropolitan Hilarion, head of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, told reporters.

"It is a unique event as the primary relics have not left the town of Bari throughout the 930 years during which they have been kept there," he said.

The relics of Saint Nicholas will be brought to Russia as part of an agreement reached between Pope Francis and Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia during their historic meeting in Havana on February 12, 2016, he said.

"Hundreds of believers of the Moscow Patriarchate come to Bari every year to worship the primary relics of Saint Nicholas. However, it is difficult for the majority of Orthodox people in Russia to perform such long-distance pilgrimages. Pope Francis and Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia hope that a prayer near the miracle-working relics of the saint will help strengthen the faith in people's hearts," Metropolitan Hilarion said
