Will Hungary be next on the Kill List?

Hungary is showing distressing signs of wanting to cease being a lapdog.  In recent years it has been angering the US and the EU for its newly rediscovered moral backbone and its refusal to be another body supplier for the Perpetual War Machine headquartered on the Potomac.

It has been angering powerful financial interests too, which does not sit very well in certain circles.  In other developments not expected to win them too many friends among the world's plutocrats they are doing their best to free their farm lands from Monsanto.

They have banned sodomarriage.

They are becoming more pro-life

Now they are ignoring the US/EU/Israel Axis of Arrogance by helping Russia build the South Stream pipeline.

Oh, and they recognized Palestine as a State, too.

Naughty Hungary.  Their dear Uncle Sam might have to remind them of a few realities.

Do not be surprised if Hungary starts getting accused of all sorts of crimes in the big media press club. Do not be surprised if those ever-active lovers of Democracy (who should mysteriously be appearing any time now in major Hungarian cities) will be showered with millions from the US treasury to bring "power to the people".  The National Endowment for Democracy is undoubtedly already at work fomenting revolution and spreading out the money in major centres of the country.  And I would not put it past the powers-that-be to begin another of those famous "color revolutions" intended to oust their rightful leader and replace him with a puppet more to their liking.  The Ukraine under Yakunovich did far less than what Hungary has been doing of late and was promptly democratized by the US in the Kiev coup in February.  Perhaps the ubiquitous Victoria Nualnd (aka Victoria Nudelman, wife of neocon warmonger Robert Kagan), the little _itch [insert the letter "w" or "b".  It really doesn't matter], who orchestrated the thing for America, can be trotted out once again to work her magic in Budapest. I hope the rulers in Catholic Hungary are watching Kiev and taking note.

This is worrying in that the Powerful of the world do not take kindly to being told "No", therefore it would not surprise me in the least that Hungary will face the same horrors that Ukraine is now facing.  Ukraine is suffering because it opted to be closer to its neighbors and its people, even though Yakunovich was no Garcia Moreno.  Yet whatever the faults of this classically corrupt politician, the people of Ukraine are now being ruled by the very oligarchs that are ready and willing not only to do the bidding of the United States - which includes firing upon and killing its own people - but to bring it under the control of the George Soros-type billionaires who will gladly loot the country of whatever in it that is valuable and turn it to a profitable venture for themselves and their cohorts just as they have done elsewhere.

I hope the once-strong Catholic faith of its people will see Hungary through all this should my gloomy scenario turn out to be correct; I hope the spirit of the great Joszef Cardinal Mindszenty will keep them alive and vigilant.  For it is the same forces that destroyed Hungary under Communist dictatorship, the same forces that crushed the Hungarians in 1956 that are now alive and well in the "West", and who will unhesitatingly try to crush them when and if the time comes.

Hungary is going to need spiritual help now because unless we are totally mistaken they will be or already are on the Imperial Kill List.  Please God I am wrong about this.

May the Holy Crown of St Stephen protect the people of Hungary for what might be coming upon them.

How a Giant Search Engine Becomes Something Else.

Julian Assange has a few interesting things to say about a rather powerful search engine.  It behooves us to read what he has to say:

THE KINGSHIP OF CHRIST 1925-1975

This article written by Hamish Fraser was composed while Paul VI was still on Peter's throne and Communism was still menacing the world.  Yet Fraser's insights were remarkably prescient.

Both Pope Paul and the Soviet Union are gone but bad ideas never go away; they just find new bodies in which to colonize.  In this, therefore, let us take note and warning.

A quote:

"Today, paradoxically, Revolutionary Marxism's most flourishing
clientele comprises Catholic theologians and prelates. Indeed, if it
were not so incredibly tragic, the present grotesque state of affairs
within the Church would be too funny for words - in that the
Church has been completely overhauled in the vain hope of
appeasing a regime whose very rulers already instinctively realise
that it is doomed."

Communism was and is doomed, still creakily alive in some countries while the stain of it is being washed away in others.  Hamish died in 1986 so he did not live long enough to witness the amazing events of 1989.  While he would have viewed these events with that same careful eye he applied to other events in Church and State I feel convinced he would have noted the irony (as his son Tony did) of Comunism's worst aspects being adopted in other countries, most notably in the United States, and that its essentially virulently anti-monarchial mindset would have found a comfortable home in the hearts of a number of Catholic churchmen.  The article is understandably dated in one or two aspects considering its appearance in 1975 but there is much red meat here and it is well worth a read.

Our late friend and colleague Anthony Fraser put his father's article on his Apropos website, and you can find it in its entirety here:

While the world looks elsewhere.....

......the usual group of plutocrats, oligarchs and war-mongers are busy preparing for more death and destruction.

Case Number One:

http://vineyardsaker.blogspot.com/2014/10/ukraine-mini-sitrep-very-ominous.html

Case Number Two, or Meanwhile, back in the Holy Land:

http://www.ifamericansknew.org/cur_sit/missingheadlines.html

This is an extremely dangerous situation.  While the controlled media highlights the horrors of ISIS, an organization created, developed, financed, armed and directed by the combined intelligence agencies of Israel and the United States, another round of murder is being prepared by the Holy Land's occupiers and, incredibly, the United States is directing its puppet regime in Kiev to provoke Russia into firing the first shot.

Pray.

THE DARK PHANTOM

Well worth watching (has English subtitles - hit the "CC" icon on the bottom of the video):

Please God these people will begin to jettison completely a terrible past.  With this, it seems they are beginning on the right path.

POPE FRANCIS AT THE BASTARD SYNOD: SILENCE BETOKENS AGREEMENT

As the Bastard Synod rambles on in Rome, many are wondering why the Pope maintains a silence in the face of some of the most outrageous and shocking statements spoken and/or written by certain well-known Princes of the Church, these Princes now acquiring the name of Fairy Princes.  As everyone knows even Cardinal Burke has made it clear to the Pope that he must speak out, and the sooner the better.

But what of this silence so far?  Perhaps I may be so bold as to remind the Holy Father of something.

In a memorable scene from the 1967 film masterpiece A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS, the oily Thomas Cromwell (played by the great Leo McKern) tries to trap Sir Thomas More (brilliantly portrayed by Paul Scofield) into admitting that his silence on the matter of  the King's supremacy over the Church in England indicated denial.

Cromwell: Now, Sir Thomas, you stand on your silence.
Cromwell: But, gentlemen of the jury, there are many kinds of silence. Consider first the silence of a man who is dead. Let us suppose we go into the room where he is laid out, and we listen: what do we hear? Silence. What does it betoken, this silence? Nothing; this is silence pure and simple. But let us take another case. Suppose I were to take a dagger from my sleeve and make to kill the prisoner with it; and my lordships there, instead of crying out for me to stop, maintained their silence. That would betoken! It would betoken a willingness that I should do it, and under the law, they will be guilty with me. So silence can, according to the circumstances, speak! Let us consider now the circumstances of the prisoner's silence. The oath was put to loyal subjects up and down the country, and they all declared His Grace's title to be just and good. But when it came to the prisoner, he refused! He calls this silence. Yet is there a man in this court - is there a man in this country! - who does not know Sir Thomas More's opinion of this title?
Crowd in court gallery: No!
Cromwell: Yet how can this be? Because this silence betokened, nay, this silence was, not silence at all, but most eloquent denial!
Sir Thomas More: Not so. Not so, Master Secretary. The maxim is "Qui tacet consentire": the maxim of the law is "Silence gives consent". If therefore you wish to construe what my silence betokened, you must construe that I consented, not that I denied.

What then are we to make of the deafening silence of so many Bishops, and now Popes, who remain studiously silent over outrage after outrage which become more virulent and threatening every day?  Let us consider just one example: the silence of the hierarchy in the face of the ever-more-blatant homosexual onslaught.  What brought this all to mind was not only the circus going on in Rome as we speak but also the recent piece by Marion Horvat found at Gloria tv: http://en.gloria.tv/?media=642117   If Thomas More is correct, and that the maxim "Qui tacet consentire" is the guiding principle, then we must conclude that the hierarchy of the Catholic Church are indicating their consent to an explosion of sodomy.

Oh, but some will say it is merely fear that restrains their disciplinary hand.  Let us suppose it is only this, fear of being pilloried and crucified by the world and their media, fear of losing powerful friends if they would put a stop to these hideous charades, fear of angry lapsed Catholic parishioners who will close their wallets when the collection plate is passed around.  But all available evidence suggests that something more than fear is at play here.

I have called this Synod the "Bastard Synod" because, as of right now at least, it stands illegitimate in the eyes of Catholics.  Yes, there are rumblings that some Cardinals are finding a new backbone they never thought they had but until we start hearing strong words from them we have every right to feel betrayed and back-stabbed and abandoned.  According to Britain's Catholic Herald the infamous statement in the realtio which says we must be "welcoming homosexuals" has been updated to "providing for homosexuals".  I am not convinced that that is much of an improvement if the Church refuses to warn them that this sin will lead them to Hell.  And of course the mid-term report says nothing whatsoever about sin, judgment or the Abode of the Damned.

Cardinal Burke, as most people know by now, has called on Pope Francis to immediately clear the air and at the same time state Catholic teaching clearly and unambiguously on marriage and families.

I am wondering if we will get nothing but silence from the Pope.   Or worse.

The Gifts of Homosexuals

The Synod would like us to recognize the "gifts" of homosexuals.  Here are just a few, in no particular order:

1.  Self-loathing when they finally realize what they are doing to their minds, souls and bodies.

2.  Hepatitus-B

3.  The destruction of an adolescent boy's innocence, mind, ability to reason and degradation, when they are buggered by sodomites.

4.  Catholic dioceses facing bankruptcy in order to pay off the victims of buggery by homosexual priests.

5.  Shame, enduring shame, the stain of which will never be wiped off.

6.  The entire Catholic Faith called into question by astounded onlookers who cannot believe what they are seeing.

7.  A catastrophic fall in conversions to the true Faith.

8.  The mockery and jibes of the world, especially our Orthodox friends who can now say, "See, I told you so".

9.  The spread of AIDS.

10. Good priests being driven mad by homosexual priests, Bishops, Cardinals as they try to uphold the tatters of the authentic teachings of Jesus Christ.

11. Good priests being driven to leave the priesthood altogether due to the new "thinking" (if you can call it that) on homos and those gifts they bring.

12. Seminaries that drive out good men (need I elaborate on this?)

13. The Church driving Her children to despair - something Popes and Bishops will pay for one day.

14. The credibility of the Church shattered almost beyond repair.

15. Ruined lives.

16. Murder

Lastly, one more gift...

17. The anger of God as He sees His Church embrace one of the sins that cry to Heaven for vengeance.

If the Synod continues in the direction that was already staged and choreographed from the beginning, and if the Pope allows this to go on (as so far he is) then it is not unreasonable to say that the Gates of Hell are at the very point of prevailing.

It is 5 minutes to midnight, Pope Francis.

Abandoned by their father, now suffering under a cruel step-father

I know of a family, a good family, that had a loyal and loving mother and a father who watched over them as all fathers should.  Life was far from perfect; there were numerous problems, some of them serious, along the way.  Yet they were still an intact family.

But it became more and more obvious that the father's thoughts were elsewhere and the nurturing work was left almost entirely to the long-suffering but ever-faithful mother.  The father was around most of the time, and he did keep a little discipline, but his troubled youth started to come to the fore which found him starting to say things that were contradictory.  And the children were confused. Their mother taught one thing; their father something seemingly different.

As they struggled to stay together the youthful sins of the father were becoming more and more prevalent.  He could be found one day speaking gently and kind to his wife and family in the morning and in the evening found carousing with those who hated everything he and his wife stood for. And soon, little by little, the patrimony of this good family was frittered or bargained away by the father who never recovered from his ill-spent days at school, a school that seemed to twist his thinking in some strange way.

Please pray for this family.  The father left his wife and children.  He abandoned them.

The poor woman could not raise their many children herself so after a time and after the religious and legal formalities were observed she remarried.  The annulment she received was questioned at the time but it was granted and she was free to remarry.  Alas, her new husband, who had a happy, jovial and indeed most pleasant personality, turned out to be cruel and heartless, even while protesting how understanding and tolerant he was.  He turned a cold shoulder toward his wife's children, those who clung to her fervently the more so after having been so heartlessly abandoned.

The cruel step-father was totally unsympathetic to their culture and their family traditions.  He caroused with his cronies every bit as much as the former father did but he made no pretense about it. Things were going to be different from now on.  The children were horrified by the creepy and unsavory kind of people their step-father brought to the house.  They were self-absorbed and libertine.  And they were cruel and indifferent like their step-father.  When one of the boys was caught praying by his bedside one night, hands folded and eyes directed toward Heaven, the step-father rushed in and yanked the folded hands apart, castigating the terrified boy for putting on airs. So disgusted was the father by this that he asked one of his cronies to meet with the boy and inform him that these pietistic acts have to end now.  Mortified and hurt the boy went silent even as his brothers and sisters watched in horror what was now happening.  Everything they had been taught to believe was a subject for mockery by their new father.

The faithful mother remained silent during all this.  Some friends tried to comfort her, some tried to talk with her new husband to ask him to respect what had gone on before but most of these interventions were weak and far too respecting of the new father's position.  The children are all but resigning themselves to the fact that they have been abandoned a second time and that their step-father is about to turn their entire lives upside down.  They pray silently for this tyranny to end.

I know this family very well.  Please pray for them as earnestly as you can.

We've lost another Defender of the Faith

It seems that in recent weeks all we have been doing here has been informing our readers of the loss of the Church's most valiant defenders, one by one.  A few weeks ago we lost Anthony Fraser. Today we have lost Richard Collins whose wonderful blog, Linen on the Hedgerow, has been a mainstay and a source of no little comfort to Catholics struggling to hang on to a sinking Ark, trying to keep it afloat.  Richard was one of the sailors who was bailing out water from the sinking ship, keeping it above the waves even as its Captain and his entourage have ignored the leaks.

Richard was a Catholic gentleman through and through.  He was a gentleman in a world that has forgotten what a gentleman is.  He fought fiercely for the Church but always with honor, with wry humor and with great courage.

We needed his presence on the internet.  We needed his calm, his resolve and his willingness to say forthrightly what had to be said.  His loss makes the Catholic blog scene somewhat barren only because he was that one-of-a-kind sort of Catholic, the kind that  you talk to and get encouragement from when things get really tough, as they are right now.  His truly was another loss we can ill afford just now.

Pray for his good and gracious soul.

RIP, Richard.  My deepest thanks for what you wrote and accomplished, and may Our Lord convey you swiftly to the Beatific Vision.

AWWWW...THEY'VE FOUND THEIR NEW BUZZWORD

I've been waiting for this.  Every time this collection of cowards, apostates, idiots and poofs (aka, the Modernist prelates) get together for some BIG meeting they have to come up with a "theme", or a slogan, or that "just right" word to jump start the publicity campaign.  And they haven't disappointed.

Introducing.... "Gradualism"!

It's not as corny and vomit-inducing as "Operation Protective Edge" or "Operation Enduring Freedom" but it is a good enough code word to describe utter destruction.

Here is one dictionary description of that word:

the policy of seeking to change something or achieve a goal graduallyrather than quickly or violently, esp in politics

Well, considering what they're up to, and have been up to for the past century and a half (at least), namely the utter transformation of the Church from what it was to what suits their strange minds, I cannot think of a more perfect word for them to use.

Over at Catholicism.org, Brother Andre Marie dissects their thinking quite nicely:

http://catholicism.org/the-ecumenism-of-matrimony-graduality-and-sacraments-of-the-perfect.html

But leave it to men like Cardinal Godzilla to strike just the right note with his use of the new wonder word, "Gradualism".

THE SYNOD: THE INSTANT REPLAY OF 1968?

With the notorious and troubling Synod now underway in Rome the Church is seeing the instant replay of the circumstances surrounding the introduction of Humanae Vitae in 1968.  The script is almost precisely the same: wild exaggerations of new changes to come regarding contraception, clerical scoundrels making their pro-contraception voices heard in a news media anxious to report their every word, a long build-up which included countless interviews with poorly-instructed lay Catholics expressing their hopes that finally the Church will see the light and let them avoid children for as long as they want for any reason they want.  And then the inevitable slap in the face, the promulgation of the document.

Wailing, agonizing and gnashing of teeth followed, organized dissent (created by those same clerical scoundrels high and low), week-kneed Bishops cowering in fear of a media lynching and having long forgotten how to act like men, it all came up at once almost as if it were scripted that way.  Not surprising, because it was scripted that way.

Then reality hit.  The doctrine was proclaimed, (even if somewhat poorly as some wise critics of HV stated at the time) and then the practice, for all intents and purposes, was indeed changed.  Contraception use among Catholics skyrocketed after HV simply because the practice changed.  Priests told their flock whether boldly from the pulpit or secretly in the Confessional to go ahead and contracept.  Bishops, Cardinals and Popes knew what was going on but did nothing to stop it and enforce the doctrine.  So practice became, in effect, the new doctrine.  It is not hard to predict that we are seeing this very same thing happening again right now regarding divorce, remarriage and Holy Communion (they may, I say "may", hold back on sodomitical unions for now).  I would not be surprised if the Synod produces a somewhat wishy-washy restatement of the traditional doctrine, which will be followed by priests telling their penitents to go ahead and receive Holy Communion if they are divorced and remarried.  If the ploy worked once in 1968 there is no reason to believe it wont work again now, especially considering what a vast wasteland current Catholic teaching has become in the intervening years. When a clownish blowhard like Cardinal Dolan can say "Bravo" to some unfortunate queer footballer who imagines himself to be married to another man, what do you think will happen when lesser lights in the Church start guiding their parishioners?

I think the answer is quite obvious.  If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

As in 1968 only worse we have to endure the spectacle of clueless prelates like Milwaukee's Jerome Listecki (and countless others as well) holding "listening" sessions from his flock, asking them what they want to see happen in the Church at this Synod.  I can well imagine what kind of answers he got.  I can also well imagine that he got exactly the kind of answers he was fishing for.

And what of the Pope in all this?

The seriousness of what this man is allowing here cannot be overestimated.  With all his talk of "mercy" and "smelling" the faithful (a rather crude phrase) he has to begin to realize that he may be responsible for unleashing forces in the Church and the world that may be unable to be stopped.  That St Thomas More must be imploring God in Heaven right now to change His mind and not allow this to continue almost goes without saying.  I do not know how particularly well-instructed the current Pontiff is, especially in history.  But I would like to imagine he recalls who More was and what events led to his martyrdom.  And even if he has never heard of him he presumably is aware of the words of Christ which Cardinal Burke has been reminding his fellow Cardinals of recently.  Yet I believe Burke's word are falling on mostly deaf ears; some of these men are entering that Synod with a clear agenda, a game plan to alter Church teaching and practice so I really don't know how much effect Burke and those who think like him will have.  In the case of Burke it is interesting to note that what goes around comes around.  A few short years ago he backed out of an important Catholic conference in London when he discovered that some of the speakers were going to discuss some of the laxity in teaching for which some Bishops were and are widely known.  Afraid of "offending" his brother Bishops whose very ideas are generally in opposition to Burke's, he bowed out on the last day leaving the Conference organizers holding the financial bag.  Now Burke himself has been sidelined.

Pope Francis is standing at the brink of a terrifying moment in the history of the Church, yet he beams a happy face and speaks with a minimum of clarity and a maximum of jocularity.  And the Tribe-owned mass media is busy barking orders at the Church, telling the Pope in precise terms exactly what they expect to come out of the synod.  I am trying to imagine myself at such a crossroads and in such a position as he.  Just one example would, I should think, give any sane man cause to look at these matters more gravely: an onslaught of homosexuals who are eating away at the vitals of the Church while numerous Bishops, nuns and priests are running around demanding the Church look the other way and welcome the sin they are so foolishly committing.  This is ecclesial suicide, pure and simple.  Yet we never hear these unfortunate souls being told to go and sin no more; instead we shout "bravo!"

The Holy Father has, whether he intended to or not, assumed responsibility for what is coming.  What is clear is that, at the moment, he is so far tolerating a heretical teaching being espoused by Cardinal Kasper and those who follow him.  The deviation from authentic promulgated doctrine is clear and there can be no escape from this accusation against Kasper.  In his kindly, grandfatherly way, with his soft and melodious voice and infectious smile, he is leading people on a dangerous path, the result of which if left unchanged is horrible.  "Heresy" is not a word I throw around much on this blog because I am neither a theologian nor a Catholic who has studied the matter in depth under the guidance of great teachers.  But in this instance it is hard to deny that Kasper and Crew are expressing views that directly contradict not only the long teaching and practice of the Church, reaffirmed many times including at the Council of Trent, but are directly contradicting the words of Christ Himself.  It is inescapable.  They are in essence saying (in a grandfatherly way), "Well, yes, Christ did teach this but now we have to face today's situation."  Let us allow that to sink in for a moment: Christ said that, but.....   But what, Your Eminence?  The question remains: what is the Pope going to do, now that he has opened this Pandora's Box?

What he is doing right now is allowing a few too many priests and prelates give highly misleading (aka, dishonest) statements, some of them trying to suggest that the Council of Trent somehow endorsed the Kasperian view!  On the traditional doctrine, on the words of Christ, on the other hand, we hear from him almost nothing - though I will be pleased to be corrected on that point.   Will this be another debacle like Humanae Vitae, or will it not?

Pope Francis has wittingly or unwittingly unleashed the Hounds of Hell - very literally - on this topic.  Please God that when he next puts his head on his pillow he begins to realize that.   Please God that he starts to realize who he is and what his job is.

Today is, of course, the Feast of the Holy Rosary.  It would not be too hard to find a good reason to recite a second one today for a particular intention.

OH NO, NOT AGAIN...PLEASE

Mr Bale, scowling
Would someone kindly ease Mr Ridley Scott back into his bath chair and wheel him off to the Home for Old Forgotten Movie Directors?  He's back again, I'm afraid, and looking the fool, no mean feat even by the low standards of Hollywood, with a new "take" on Moses..

One inept "Biblical" epic after another rolls out from the Entertainment Industry, each one more ridiculous than the one before it, loaded with increasingly tiresome "digital effects", directed by directors who cannot direct, actors who cannot act, writers who cannot write and all flung before a gullible public eager to lap up this undigestible stew.  Apparently the last attempt, the very funny NOAH, starring plug-ugly ham bone Russell Crowe, who screamed his lines throughout the entire movie, was not enough to convince people that the Industry really has lost touch completely.

How did I find out about this new masterpiece?  On a Catholic website I am sorry to say.

They call the Republicans the "Stupid Party" for continually shooting themselves in the foot in the face of their bitterest opponents.  If Catholics keep flocking to these crappy movies which make their enemies rich we will soon be calling Catholics "The Stupid Religion".

Mr Crowe, screaming
Christian Bale as Ridley Scott's Moses

7,000 police, armored vehicles & helicopters to protect 200 parading poofs and pederasts

Now there's a great way to spend public money.  Thousands of cops, tanks, helicopters?  That's a bit much, in my view.

And it's a great way to see how the EU boot sits upon the necks of the Serbs.  If anyone ever had any doubts as to intentions of the EU we have only to read this report:

http://russia-insider.com/en/tv_politics_media_watch_culture_christianity_society/2014/10/02/01-57-50pm/serbs_turn_out_force

In short, if you want to join the EU you must trample upon Christianity and exalt perversion.

Simple.

BISHOP LIVIERES OFFERS HIS SIDE OF THE STORY

We have been watching this case quietly, trying to see what has and what will develop, and are trying to take a cold, honest look at the events.  But it seems that everyone is entitled to defend himself, and Sandro Magister has published the Bishop's words in his own defense.  They are here:

http://chiesa.espresso.repubblica.it/articolo/1350884?eng=y

There is much to this story that still needs to come out, but it does seem that we are seeing a prime example of selective outrage on the part of the Vatican.

But we will add this: all traditional religious orders had better be on their guard against the type of priest that became the albatross around the neck of Livieres.  There are, unfortunately, some traditional religious orders who appear to have a bit of an arrogance problem and this is not good at all.

Sin is not confined only to the Modernists, even if it sometimes seems they have a patent on it.
