Finlay Currie as St Peter in MGM's "Quo Vadis" |
We always hope, usually in vain, that once - just once - a Pope of Rome would show some sterner stuff when meeting with the persecutors of the Church entrusted to him.
Diplomacy does not trump everything. Being nice and friendly doesn't necessarily win converts. Minds greater than that of Pope Francis tried to get a good Christian man like C.S. Lewis into the bosom of the Church but failed. And Lewis wasn't a depraved sociopath like Francioise Hollande or Barack Obama. Great Popes in the past showed courage and faith when they stood up to Kings and presidents, they excommunicated them; they didn't pose for photo-ops with them first.
I don't recall St Peter having a friendly chat with Nero before being crucified by him upside down.
But we are all so nice and pleasant to our Hell-spawn enemies now. We present to you therefore these photos of Francis and the arrogant buffoon and apostate Catholic, Hollande. We will let our readers be the judge as to what is going through the minds of these two men.
A warm up for the Obama meeting. Maybe he'll muster up a Dolan-esk roaring laugh with him, too.

ReplyDeleteWhat they are probably thinking is how easy it is to fool some of the people all of the time.
some of the people all of the time, all the people some of the time, but not all the people all the time.
ReplyDeletehollande is at his minimum of popolarity, and i guess in a couple of month even Francis' s will begin to fall.

Between these two Marxists, which one is more of a "true believer"?
ReplyDeleteI might not want to know the truth in this case.
It's been nearly a year, the Pope's popularity has soared!! And this blog continues to be a bastion of Catholic bashing and hatred!!
