THE NIGHT OF THE NATIVITY

"Blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born of the most pure Virgin Mary at midnight, in Bethlehem, in piercing cold...."

Adoration of the Christ Child by Carl Marr

  1. I just finished setting up our nativity scene. It's an old vintage one from the 50s or 60s. The shepherds are on the left coming in from the pasture. The angel points the way. I took care to have the Magi and their camels to the right. I think it my best nativity scene yet.

I hope nobody spots the little figurine I shoved way in the back next to the reclining donkey. It's a cocker spaniel wearing a Santa hat. My little Mandee always sniffed out the newborn lambs when they were born, even if they were under the barn. If she had been in Bethlehem 2000 years ago, I kinda think my puppy would have found the baby Jesus.

All the blessings of Christmas to you, Aged Parent!
