That means BXVI too.

One comment to Anonymous above...

I spent a few of my Saturdays distributing food at the ecumenical food pantry when I was still trying to escape Novus Ordoland. I stopped helping out after the third tattooed "poor" woman with an expensive haircut and wreaking of cigarettes led me to her brand new sports car. All the while barking orders to me as though I was their handmaid and she was the Queen of England. They see their task as preaching without preaching; people more holy than I will need to debate the merits of that. Regarding the "poor" that they serve. Here in the DC area, I have seen folks in very nice SUV's driving up to get theirs without sign of shame. (Now it may be that some one has been laid off and so they have the nice car but are struggling to keep a roof over their head which in this high cost area is a definite worry.)

The true impoverished around me - the abandoned elderly. So many even living in suburban style housing without anyone to look in on them. Often they are mentally ill and subject to elder abuse or people stealing everything that they own as a court appointed "guardian". - LearningAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5637864682999679595.post-11636534775366434012016-04-05T07:17:25.530-05:002016-04-05T07:17:25.530-05:00Theranter:

Who does he imagine it was who created the hospital system in medieval times, and who was it who was taking beggars off the roads and giving them nourishment and care for all those centuries? It's fine if he wants to keep worrying about the body more than the soul but it does seem, as you suggest, that he is building monuments to himself.

Thanks for the comment.Aged parenthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05217229048176272954noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5637864682999679595.post-32569996249335430952016-04-04T16:07:27.576-05:002016-04-04T16:07:27.576-05:00Similar to my immediate thought when I read about ...Similar to my immediate thought when I read about F1's call yesterday to (paraphrasing) "in honor of The Year of Mercy, each Diocese should build something for the poor (or a social-justicey type building/service)"

Once again, this humble (my backside he's humble) person IGNORES all the good we already do--the thousands upon thousands of services and buildings for the less fortunate we DO provide! And I really think he wants it in order to commemorate him--not Christ/the Church. He's a narcissist to the nth degree. And how "green" is it to build another organization and building, instead of expanding an existing one? Or okay, maybe renaming/adding a tag line to one in each diocese "in honor of The Year of Mercy?" He is frightening.Theranterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18342208792687802770noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5637864682999679595.post-39107484992410306232016-04-03T20:58:19.034-05:002016-04-03T20:58:19.034-05:00I have intended to read War is a Racket. The unreconciled Jews are the old culprit, the American culprit the new. England, France and so on between. Rome collaborating with post WWII Jewdom and American anti-Catholicism delivered a crushing blow. Why does the Church no longer teach The Faith? A Christianish Organization used to eagerly offer Soap Soup Salvation. Those were not easier times, but those were simpler times. The Jews and American Elite successfully ushered that time out.alynoreply@blogger.com
