The Stuart 'regime' in the British Isles starting in 1603 and ending in 1714 was an unmitigated disaster for Catholicism. The were a pretty sordid and disreputable bunch, worse in fact than that other family of usurpers the Tudors.<br />If there is such a thing as the last legitimate king of England perhaps it was Richard III.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
